GENESYS WORKS
We empower underserved youth with training, support, and internships, helping them achieve ambitious career goals despite limited resources.
Our support of Genesys Works, led by Darryl Henry, the Chair of the Chicago board of directors, is a prime example of our community support and our involvement in “building a diverse pipeline” of students interested in STEM, as outlined by Dr. May. The mission of this amazing organization is to “provide pathways to career success for high school students in underserved communities through skills training, meaningful work experiences, and impactful relationships.” In 2019, Genesys Works served over 3,750 students and provided them with over $9.5 million in earnings through internships. 90% of the high school students in the program enrolled in college. 70% of alums have graduated or are still enrolled in college programs.
