CASE STUDY
SVM – Office Tenant Buildout
DTI’s Roles
As the prime contractor, DTI provided project management and was responsible for the low-voltage telecommunications wiring and the MDF closet buildout.
DTI removed the outdated telecommunication infrastructure that was in the building and installed the new structure. The scope included voice/data/audio/video infrastructure cabling, CATV distribution cabling, fiber optic cabling installation, IT closet buildouts, and conference room audio/video buildouts.
DTI’s work passed the electrical inspection on the first wave and did not require rework.

Overview:
Founded in 1997, SVM Cards (www.svmcards.com) is a leading provider of prepaid promotional and disbursement cards to hundreds of the top major oil companies, restaurants, hotels, and retail stores in America.
Because SVM experienced continuous growth and needed to significantly expand its physical space, it moved its headquarters to a larger facility in Arlington Heights, IL in 2015. SVM hired DTI to provide the network infrastructure required for the buildout of the 35,000 square-foot facility.
In April 2020, SVM Cards was acquired by Blackhawk Network Holdings, Inc., a privately held company based on California. Blackhawk kept the leadership team of SVM in place and plans to continue working with DTI for SVM’s network service needs.
“I have had the opportunity to work with Tony (Henry of DTI) on a number of technical projects over the years. Tony is great to work with, and has exceptional knowledge of network infrastructure wiring and project management. Tony consistently demonstrated his ability to provide clear direction, cost management, and leadership throughout the project. Tony combines his incredible talent for technical infrastructure, and customer service to create a great experience for all of his clients. It was indeed a pleasure to work with DTI and we will continue to use them for all our infrastructure needs.”
